Waxwing Handlebar Bag

This handlebar bag is the Waxwing standard model and is distillation of beauty and technical performance. Made of commercially treated #8 canvas, this sturdy bag will reject all attempts water might make to get in. The bag constructed with leather parts, leather or cotton edging, choice of silver or brass hardware and elastic closures. The footprint of the bag is 6" X 10" and available in three sizes:

Waxwing Longflap Saddlebar Bag

The natural evolution of a handlebar bag rooted in the classic saddlebag.
Blending features from both, the Waxwing Saddlebar Bag mounts to your handlebars via straps and spacers (if you want some space for your hands on the flats). The bag features rear facing pockets for small items like wallets, phones, snacks, etc.. and a front pocket for more storage
Standard main compartment closure is the innovative Waxwing snap quick-access, providing the convenience with the adjustability of buckles.
You'll want to think carefully about the space between your drop-bar drops so the bag can fit without too much crowding. See dimensions below. Choose sleeve pockets if this is space is tight. Straight bars allow for as wide a bag as you wish.

I love classic French randonneuring bags, so I was glad for the opportunity to make this particular style--it's one of my favorites.
Modeled on the classic Alex Singer version, it's an-open-from-the-front design with a roomy main compartment and wide front pocket all accessible under the main cover. Two rear pockets offer easy and quick access. Perfect for a ride through the mountains or across the continent.
The bag measures 10"w x 6"d x 8"h; the front pocket adds about 1.50" of extra storage to the bag.

The Rackless facilitates the convenience of a front bag without the need for a dedicated rack. This new bag is designed to pair perfectly with the KlickFix support bracket and handlebar mount--easy set up, affordable, and easily transferable from one bike to another with additional mounts (available from Waxwing).
Featuring a pleated front pocket, elastic closures that hook on the side of the bag, internal sleeve pocket, removable internal stiffener, and map case. This bag will handle your essentials and then some.
Note: Rixen Kaul support bracket and handlebar mount rated to 15lbs. For a heavier capacity rackless front bag consider the Front Saddlebag option.

Waxwing Sandwich & Lunch Bags

The origins of this bag started with the Demi Baguette. What if it expanded and had enough capacity for a bit more than just the essentials? Not unlike a trunk bag, its handy for around town or a paired-down longer trip. Definitely good for your sandwich a some lunch goodies! Two rear pockets plus side sleeves make life easier.
Roll-top is held closed with G hooks on molle straps, allowing for a lot of adjustment. Pocket sleeves create quick storage for a bar or phone. Internal stiffener adds some support. Paired with a set of RaClips you have a nice bag for much of your day-to-day travels.
Sandwich bag:
8.5" w x 5" d at the base (expanding outwards to 9.5" x 6.5" as it rises) and stands about ~6.5"h ; 280 cu. in./ 4.5L; . Rolled down capacity ~342 cu. inches/ 5.6 liters. (Roll-top ads another 4" or so inches of vertical capacity adding 250 cu in/4 liters).

Waxwing-Weigle Sportif

This innovative bag was designed by Peter Weigle and brought to life in a collaboration between Peter and myself here at Waxwing. Peter’s goal: have a shape that lightened up the bag both visually and in weight and didn’t bury his lovely racks while maintaining the usefulness of the map case found on standard bags. Lesser-used items like tools and a spare tube sit at the bottom of the bag, keeping the weight low and centered. Jackets, food and other frequently needed stuff goes in the upper portion of the bag.

Waxwing Demi Porteur

The demi porteur is the way to go when you want more capacity than the standard handlebar bag isn't quite enough. Many riders want to have "enough room" for all the circumstances they'll encounter day-to-day and that might just be a demi porteur.

This bag is specifically sized to fit perfectly on the Velo Orange Flat Pack rack, which is their offering for a demi porteur rack--that range between a randonneur and a full porteur rack. The height of the short option matches the built in decaleur of the rack, so the pairing is seamless. Add a set of RaClips and you'll have a really solid arrangement.

Waxwing Rover

Modeled on the Riv Hobo from the early '00's, this is an updated version that incorporates some adaptability in terms of mounting. (Can be made with molle webbing along the top edge of the back, you can choose your mounting place on the bars). Add some spacers and you get to use the bars!
Featuring a pleated front pocket that gives you a bit of extra storage in addition to the main compartment and two back pockets. Covered to-way zipper accesess main compartment. This is a nicely roomy bag for the stuff you'll want riding around town--it might even fit your smaller laptops and tablet electronics, depending. It'll definitely fit your manila folders!

Porteur bags are large capacity front bags inspired by the loads Parisian newspaper delivery men and women carried when that's how newspapers were distributed through the city. Porteur bags are great when you just know you want lots of room to carry stuff. I prefer a larger bag in the cold months when I'm likely to be carrying multiple layers of clothes, more food, and other just-in-case extras. This bag design is envisioned to pair with a porteur rack.
